The Milwaukee Bucks, founded in 1968, play in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference in the NBA. The franchise has seen one NBA Championship, in 1971, two conference titles and 13 division titles over its history. Originally part of the Western Conference, they switched to the Eastern Conference in 1980.

Some notable Hall of Famers who played with the Bucks over the years include Kareem-Abdul Jabbar, who was drafted as Lew Alcindor, before he converted to Islam and changed his name. Julius "Dr. J" Erving was originally drafted by the Bucks, and Moses Malone played for the team as well.
In 2001, the Bucks got Anthony Mason, whose presence has been said to have destroyed the team's chemistry. In 2006, the team set a number of NBA records. In April, they set a new record for the fewest team turnovers in one game: just two. That same week, they had two NBA records with 11 three-pointers in one quarter, 14 three-pointers in a half, and a team record with 18 three-pointers in one game.
